Scene 4

Raat Hamaaree Toh, Chaand Kee Sahelee Hain

Kitne Dino Ke Baad, Aayee Woh Akelee Hain

Samjho Kee Baatee Bhee Koyee Bujha De Aaj

Andhere Se Jee Bhar Ke Karnee Hain Baate Aaj

Keshav was planning to let her rest today, this week was very hectic for her first the management of office as he was out for Jaipur. Then this party plus book launch and now yesterday afternoon only they returned from Agra and it was still two days before the week ends and tomorrow he will be in Bangalore as he has to attend a special meeting today over there. So he booked a spa appointment for her and then lunch with him at nearby restaurant wherein they loved bakery of that place. But later had to be cancelled as an unusual meeting cropped as his client with whom he was leaving Bangalore, Mr. Andrews had arrived earlier than expected and it was his duty to entertain him rather his personal work, though Panchi got a bit angry and upset but she got to catch some of her college friends and it turned out to be pleasant afternoon with some shopping done in the area but things were not as good as excepted.

It was Friday and since Sunday she had met thrice with Ranvir whom she had no mood to meet again yet her brains were roaming in that area only and the behavior Ranvir presented, it seemed that he was interested but she wasn’t as she had a happy married life with person who treasured her well. She made up her mind to tell Ranvir clearly that she isn’t interested even though she would have loved to tell that earlier also but she couldn’t just get perfect time and situation to break the news. Yet she had decided not to indulge in too much of details about the fact that she likes to keep it personal, though there was nothing of such sort that she can’t tell Ranvir because about them the media knew a lot and it was discussed like everyday gossip. She was thinking on the perspective on the point that she is not at all in circumstance where she needs to discuss her personal life with a total stranger other than that what she learned in this 10 years was the fact that she knows how to distinguish a thin line between her personal and professional life. Between Panchi and Mrs. Desai and now Mr. Shergill was just the part of her social circle and nothing else; he isn’t even acquaintance in her vocabulary.     

And destiny gave her an opportunity wrapped in golden paper and she saw him in one of shops buying some girly stuff maybe for his new catch or interest but doesn’t makes any more difference to her in the matter. And when he invited her for coffee which she would have normally rejected but to clear everything and to bring out all the matters in the table, she accepted and they both settled in Starbucks situated in Hotel Taj Mumbai. She settled in a rather isolated area as she would rather not like to Page 3 headings with a mystery guy in his life, though it never made difference to KD but she understood her responsibilities as Panav image was attached to their plus she loved KD more than anything else in life and she would not rather like to lose that for anything in the world. She sat there and just when waiter arrived for orders, Ranvir said “I know you would be first time coming here, so let me order for you. 2 cookies crumble coffees, am I right, Mo…Panchi”. She just looked to waiter and said “Regular with a mushroom-cheese sandwich with multi-cereal bread. For your kind information, I use to come here since my college days and I’m regular over as I come here once a week even today.”

When the order arrived Ranvir was shocked to see a black coffee and that from smell it was strong Brazilian one which shocked him because as far as he knew Panchi never liked bitter things and was into super sweet jaw. But now with her dressing and everything, her choices changed dramatically. He decided that rather than treading on dangerous grounds he may rather like to be in safe zones and just then Panchi started “See, Mr. Shergill you need to understand that there is no we in today’s scenario and I would like it to keep that way only. because now I’m into business and I don’t want that my personal life makes my professional life a problem as I’m settled it both and I kind of is into  serious relationship and I believe that that this more than enough from my side to tell you about my life and so please now let’s end this.”

Ranvir laughingly said “Panchi, from your statement only I can’t believe that threes someone in your life I know girls like you never move forward from their lives and we still hold a position where I can still rule your heart. You may pretend to not care for me but I know that you still care for me and I know this relationship kind of thing is just a hoax you are giving me to keep me away from you but I will not get influenced by it.” To which Panchi disgustingly replied “Grow up, Mr. Shergill I don’t think world revolves around you and stop thinking in such way because I clearly believe that you need to get outside your own obsession to see the truth, if you are not ready to accept the truth, then it’s your problem not mine and now if you pls excuse me. I need to leave.”

On the other hand she had fabulous night with KD and his clients cum friends in famous pub at the night, she felt a large burden lifted from her shoulders as she told everything truthfully to Ranvir, now it was his wish to accept it or not. And here only she came to know that he isn’t single but with Kiya who’s pregnant for a full time but now his life didn’t make difference in hers.

So in morning, when KD left for Bangalore and she read this news she felt rather sad for Kiya whose live-in boyfriend was doing such cheap activities rather than cheated on the point that she was one he was trying to trap because, it now didn’t make a difference to her. She was happy in her life. Rom that article only she came to know that Ranvir was today in Bangalore for some concert but no she had moved ahead of such teenage crushes or infatuation, but she would rather now want to tell him now she has a man who has seen the best and worst of her and accepted her with all of it so was the case from her side, she wanted to tell him that she now belonged to Keshav Desai but she felt a pinch of guilt for that photo of Kiya which she saw in newspaper where full time pregnant Kiya was standing alone surrounded by the press which she obviously was not able to handle. She realized how blessed she was to have KD in her life who doesn’t even leave her alone for a foot injury also.
