She happily picked up the
phone and said “C M sahib I had being waiting for your phone since so many
days. I know you would be busy with all types of work coming in but you can
give some to your sweet ever loving wife and especially when she is giving such
a big gift and is being a very sweet and obidentive. ” and at the receiving end
she heard the voice of Trishant saying “I know I should call you but work
pressure isn’t leaving. Okay, are you taking good care of yourself and baby. Hope
that you are fine. I am right now in Dantewada and sitting outside in the lawn
waiting for some rurals to come.” She could sense that he was trying to speak
cheerfully but the voice seemed to be tired and exhausted. She got up from the
room and was going down just as they were talking he told them the rural people
have arrived and he will return in a day or so and she told that her research
has being completed and she was right now forwarding the mail to authorities
and that Monica and Tanay came for dinner last day after the duty in hospital
as they were leaving her in home and just when she was in stairs, then only she
heard a disturbance in the phone and suddenly heard some noises of like riots
breaking out and then someone screaming in pain and after that the phone got dead.
She tried a number of times after that but it was of no use because it wasn’t responding.
Just at that moment something crept in her mind and she got very scared and
suddenly she found herself slipping from the stairs............
When she opened her eyes she
found herself in a sunflower coloured dress and Monica checking her pulse and
fatal monitor and many bottles of different fluids like glucose and blood strapped
to her whereas Tanay roaming around the room nervously as she was lying in the
hospital room in Om. She tried to sit down which broke the fluency of minds of
Monica and Tanay. Seeing her trying, Tanay and Monica leapt a breath of relief,
Tanay said “Thank God, you woke up, we were trying since 5 hours, but you weren’t
responding and we were tired with all the treatments. Now we can assume you are
safe and we can also rest. Your house staff called us after seeing in slipping
you in the stairs and you unconscious since then. Ok now you rest as Monica has
given you some pain relivers. See in some time as by the normal procedure you
will have to stay here for the next 24 hours just for safety. Then we will also
talk a lot”
After an hour or so, Tanay and
Monica entered with tea trolley and saw Prakriti unceasingly and drowsingly
lying on the bed , they poured tea and set in on the bed tray. The nurses
helped her to sit down on the bed and as they were drinking the tea, the most
unfortunate question came when Pakriti asked “Is the baby ok?” Monica and Tanay
uncomfortably twitched their cups and after asking twice or thrice, Monica
silently said “We are sorry, we tried our level best but case turned out to be
a complicated and it was possible only to save either of you and if had gone
for the baby, it would have been still-born and won’t have survived plus we
would have lost you and that was against the practicality and sense of justice
and hypocracy. So we saved you but in this turn we lost the child. I am deeply regretted
but you had a misgarage. You lost your child. ”
